Dr. Vivian Mbanya works as a senior researcher in research ethics and research integrity at the Center for Medical Ethics, Institute for Health and Society, University of Oslo.

She has a background in Public Health. She also serves as a board member and director of the post-graduate program at the Somali Institute for Health Research. She has a PhD in global health and community medicine (Norway), MPhil International Community Health (Norway), MPH (Nigeria).

Her research interests include public health, chronic diseases, health equity, gender and issues of sexuality, research ethics, research integrity, healthcare service, minority groups, and epidemiology.

She is an experienced researcher in mixed-methods research. Her current research focuses on responsible open science, promoting research integrity, and addressing research misconduct.
