
Dr. Leonard Baatiema

Dr. Leonard Baatiema is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management, School of Public Health, University of Ghana. He is a Fogarty Global Health Fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a recent AfOx Visiting Fellow at the Center for Tropical Medicine and Global Health (Health Systems Collaborative) at Oxford University (UK).
Leonard holds a PhD in Public Health from Australian Catholic University, Sydney (Australia) and an MSc in Health, Community, and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, London (UK). He has also received training in Health Systems Strengthening from the University of Melbourne, and the World Bank.
His research areas span health systems and policy analysis, primary health care, health sector reforms, human resources for health, and non-communication diseases.
